As a leader in gay, bi, and queer (GBQ) men’s health in Toronto, ACT is proud to offer programs and services for people living with and at increased risk for HIV. These services include, anonymous HIV testing, free counselling to GBQ guys regardless of HIV status, group support on various topics such as substance use, body image, and wellness, and HIV and sexual health education, prevention and outreach services
AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia
The AIDS Coalition of Nova Scotia’s (ACNS) Gay Men’s Health Project offers a range of group and one-on-one support services and programming for GBT2Q men.
BOOM is an online resource for young guys who like guys. BOOM is here to help you explore a range of important topics such as gender and sexual identity, dating and sex, HIV, and emotional and mental well-being. BOOM is an initiative of CANFAR.
EMHC is a grassroots health organization in Edmonton run by and for queer and trans community members. EMHC offers a range of community health programming, including: community education, support, and capacity-building; provider training and professional development; and community-based research. EMHC also operates PrEPAlberta.ca, Alberta’s main online resources for PrEP education and access.
Health Initiative for Men
Health Initiative for Men (HIM) was founded in the heart of Vancouver's gay village in 2008 with the purpose of supporting the holistic well-being of queer men. HIM has since become a pillar of queer men's health in Vancouver's Lower Mainland and beyond, supporting the unique physical, sexual, social, and mental well-being of our communities.
Aided by hundreds of tireless volunteers, HIM operates five health centres that offer the full spectrum of sexual health testing and counselling, designs innovative interventions and campaigns, collaborates on cutting-edge research projects, and advocates for queer men to actively engage in the well-being of our own communities.
MAX is Ottawa's health connection for guys into guys. Max focuses on maximizing the health and wellness of gay, bisexual, Two-spirit, queer, and other guys who are into guys, both cis and trans (GBT2Q). MAX offers individual, group, and community support and education services by and for guys into guys in the Ottawa region and also works with the healthcare providers that serve them.
Planned Parenthood NL
Planned Parenthood Newfoundland and Labrador Sexual Health Centre is a non-profit charitable organization that promotes positive sexual health and 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion through education, community partnership, information and services within an environment that supports and respects individual choice.
QueerTransMen.org & the Primed Guide
QueerTransMen.org and the Primed Guide were developed by the Ontario Gay, Bi, and Queer Trans Men’s Working Group. Based on an Ontario-wide assessment of the sexual health needs of gay, bi and queer trans men, Primed prioritizes trans bodies, desires, and sexualities and covers topics including disclosure, finding sex and cruising, safer sex and harm reduction, HIV and other STIs, and more! While QueerTransMen.org and the Primed Guide were developed in Ontario, much of the information is transferrable to other parts of Canada.
Resist Stigma is a national initiative that engages young gay, bisexual, queer, two-spirit, and trans (GBQ2ST) men and health professionals in combatting stigma. Resist Stigma combats stigma through building knowledge, by providing educational opportunities, and by engaging young GBT2Q men in creating messages that resist stigma by sharing our stories. Resist Stigma includes a number of creative projects developed by and for GBT2Q youth.
